En Plein Air Painting in the Sammamish Valley En plein air is a French expression which means "in the open air", and is particularly used to describe the act of painting outdoors. SVAC sponsors En Plein Air Painting Sessions during the summer months, as weather permits. Permission from property and business owners around the Sammamish River Valley Area are obtained for artists to paint en plein air. Some locations have restrooms on site, while other are within a short drive. En plein air sessions are scheduled every Thursday morning from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. In most locations, the artists can continue to paint as long as they wish. Sessions are open to artists of all ages and abilities. Session Fees: Free For more info regarding the En Plein Air locations and times or to receive the plein air painting group email notice: Contact Barbara at 206-335-6727 or email barbara@applefarmvillage.com
